Winter

We are now in the midst of the Winter season which yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda, has deemed a Kapha Season. We can balance the qualities of the Kapha dosha this winter with foods that are drying, stimulating, and warming. Spices such as turmeric and ginger root are especially favored this season with Mandala’s Turmeric Ginger Herbal Tea, which can be complemented with warm organic almond or whole milk. Warming spices such as cinnamon and cardamom are also well-represented in our Saraswati smoothie, a tribute to Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and creativity, as well as in our delicious and cozy steamers, which incorporate other dosha balancing foods such as ghee and bee pollen.
